Morning Dew Scarf
By Dora Ohrenstein
SKILL LEVEL: Easy to Intermediate
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: 3 3/4” wide and 4' long.
ONE SKEIN Tilli Tomas Beaded Plie,100% silk with Glass Beads, 140 yds
Color 3033, Atmosphere
C-2/2.75* mm hook or size needed to obtain gauge
Gauge: 3 fans = 6 1/2"; Rows 1 -3 in pattern = 1 3/4"
Finished Measurements: 50" long, 3 1/2" wide
*This may be a particularly quirky choice of hook for most people, as the stitches are not that small. I found this a good size because of the beads, and worked rather loosely. You may need a bigger hook for this gauge and I do encourage matching this gauge, as a smaller scarf might look skimpy. I used exactly the whole skein, with only a few feet left over.
STITCHING TIP:
1) Don’t attempt to pull beads through your loops, but rather let them fall to back of the work.
2) To avoid a large loop when skipping several stitches, as in Row 2, bring the work close to where you insert hook after skipped stitches.
Chain 232
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, turn. 231 st.
Row 2: Ch 5 (counts as tr and ch 1) 3 tr in first sc, *ch1, sk 9 sc, (3 tr, ch 1, tr, ch 1, 3 tr) in next sc, rep from * acros ending last rep with (3 tr, ch 1, tr) in last sc, turn. (22 fans, plus 1/2 fan at each end)
Row 3: Ch 5 (counts as tr and ch 1), sk ch 1, tr in next tr, ch 1, sk tr, tr in next tr, ch 1, cont across placing tr in every other st across (counting ch-1 between fans as a st) ch 1 between each tr, ending with tr in tch. 116 tr
Row 4: Ch 5 (counts as tr and ch 1) 3 tr in first tr, *ch 1, sk 9 st, (3 tr, ch 1, tr, ch1, 3 tr) in next tr, rep from * across ending (3 tr, ch 1, tr in tch) turn.

Morning Dew Scarf
This is a beautiful scarf, I love the pattern. Where did you purchase the yarn? Is it terribly expensive?? I am attempting to replicate it using regular yarn but would love to try the beaded yarn!
Yarn for the Morning Dew Scarf
I found the yarn at the following website by asking the search engine to search for "Tilli Thomas Beaded Plie":
http://tillitomas.com/index.php?option=com_g2bridge&view=gallery&Itemid=100014
If that doesn't work, just go to:
http://tillitomas.com
which is the home page and look for "beaded plie" yard.
Good luck.
