41% Mohair - 29% Nylon - 30% Acrylic - 50 grams/80 yds

I-9/5.5 mm crochet hook OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE.

Gauge:  Measurement after completing 4 rows in pattern is 3 1/2” wide, 3 1/2 “ long.

Special Stitches:

Sideways Cluster (SCL): 

These clusters are worked sideways, inserting hook from the side under the top loop of the stitch just completed.  The pattern uses two types of SCL: 

[SCL(ch 2,dc)]  and [SCL (ch 4, tr)].  

CL: tr2tog as follows, *wrap yarn around hook 2 times, insert hook in designated st, yo and draw up a loop, (yo and draw through 2 loops) two times (2 loops on hook), repeat from *(3 loops on hook), yo and draw through all 3 loops.

CL2tog: **  *wrap yarn around hook 2 times,  insert hook in designated st, yo and draw up a loop, (yo and draw through 2 loops) two times (2 loops on hook),   repeat from * (3 loops on hook) , skip designated number of st, rep from ** (5 loops on hook), yo and drawn through all 5 loops.

BUT AT THE BEGINNING OF A ROW CL2tog as follows:

Ch 4 (counts as 1 tr), *wrap yarn around hook 2 times, insert hook in designated st, yo and draw up a loop, yo and draw through 2 loops) two times*, (2 loops on hook), sk designated number of st, rep from * to * two times ((4 loops on hook) , yo and draw through all 4 loops.

Row 1:  Ch 4, tr (counts as 1 CL)  in fiifth ch, [SCL(ch 2, dc)] in first CL, CL2tog beg in same ch as first cluster, sk 4 ch, fnish CL2tog in next ch, [SCL (ch 4, trc)]  in  CL just made, CL2tog beg in same ch as last vertical CL, sk 4 ch, finish CL2tog in next ch, [SCL(ch2, dc)] in CL just made, trc2tog in same ch as last vertical CL, turn.

Row 2:  Ch 1, sc in first st, ch 3, sk SCL,  sc in next CL, ch 4, sk SCL, sc in next CL, ch 3, sk SCL, sc in last CL, turn.

Row 3: Ch 4, CL2tog beg in first sc, sk ch 3, finish CL2tog  in next sc, * [SCL(ch 4, tr)], CL2tog beg in same sc as last vertical CL, sk ch 4,  finish CL2tog in next sc, [SCL(ch 4, trc)], CL2tog beg in same st as last vertical CL, sk 3 ch, finish CL2tog in next sc, turn.

Row 4: Ch 1 *Sc in first CL, *ch 4, sk SCL, sc in next CL , rep from * once, turn.

Row 5: Ch 4, trc (counts as 1 CL) in first sc, *[SCL(ch 2, dc)] in CL just made, CL2tog beg in first sc, sk ch 4, finish CL2tog in next sc, rep from * sk ch 4, trc2 tog in last sc, turn.

Rep rows 2 through 5 for pattern, ending with Row 4 of patt, until you run out of yarn.  Model is one yard (36”) long.
